Project Description

The works comprised the demolition and site clearance of an existing industrial warehouse and office premises and the re-development of the site to form a 12,000 sqft retail warehouse and a 10,000 sqft commercial starter unit for subdivision for PRUPIM, part of Prudential plc.

The retail unit was completed to a shell standard for a fit out to form a furniture store for CSL which included a mezzanine sales floor.

It lies within an Archaeological Priority Zone and before to work could commence on site, an intrusive investigation was carried out. As a condition of the planning permission for the development, it was a requirement that the units achieved a BREEAM “Excellent” rating. As a consequence, 300 m² of photovoltaic panels were incorporated on the roof of retail unit.
