RESIDENTIAL
5-BEDROOM PASSIVE HAUS, ROSSENDALE
RGP have prepared designs for an innovative Passive House dwelling on the site of the former Hawthorn Mill close to the town centre of Crawshaw Booth in Rossendale.
The design reflects the former north light mill sheds and the scale of the cottages that once stood on the site. The dwelling will be constructed on off-site modular highly insulated and airtight SIPS panels, for thermal efficiency and the dwelling powered by solar photovoltaic panels. The energy created by the PV will be stored in an innovative micro Denorwig water tower, reminiscent of the mill chimney, which will release its stored energy, during the night via a cavitation pump also supplemented by a compressed air store utilising the same technology
