R G Partnership Limited, known as RGP Architects, trading for over 60 years is pleased to announce that the directors and senior colleagues of the business have successfully completed a management buyout, marking an exciting new chapter in the company’s long and proud history. Founded over 65 years ago by Terry Ratcliffe, R G Partnership Limited has grown into a highly respected architectural practice built on strong values, trusted relationships and a commitment to quality.

Following Terry’s passing, the company remained under the ownership of Terry’s family, who have now transferred their interest to the existing management team, who have between them over 185 years’ service with the company, and countless more years in the industry. As part of the new ownership structure, which includes 7 shareholders, Andrew Mitchell will lead the Manchester office, while Chris Horner will head up the London office. Both are joined by 2 new directors David Matthews and Adam Pridgeon. Together, with the support of their dedicated colleagues, the new team are committed to building on the solid foundations established over decades, while developing the practice in an ambitious and exciting new direction. Commenting on the management buyout,

Andrew Mitchell said: “RGP has an incredible heritage and a reputation built over many decades. We are proud to be taking the practice forward, building on the strong foundations that Terry established, and continuing to deliver the high standards our clients expect.”

Chris Horner added: “This marks a significant milestone for the practice. We are extremely grateful to Terrys family for their support, and to our staff, clients and consultants who have played such an important role in getting us to this point. We are genuinely excited about the future and the opportunities ahead.”

The directors would like to place on record their sincere thanks to the Ratcliffe family, as well as to R G Partnership Limited’s dedicated staff, loyal clients and valued suppliers for their continued trust and commitment.
