Project Description

This site essentially formed an island, located in the centre of Warrington, on which the opportunity to redevelop it into mixed use commercial and leisure facilities arose.

Designed along a central axis directed towards the main town centre, the proposals provided for strong pedestrian links to well established public transport services, and existing town centre facilities. Provisions were made for on-site car parking both above and below ground.

The design allowed for an almost completely pedestrianised concourse surrounding the buildings with only time controlled delivery and service access. Generous and open landscaping was provided to contribute to the overall aesthetics and quality feel of the development.
